Our SYNERGY FARM clothing catalogue is once again available, just in time for Christmas. Attached is the catalogue and order form. Products can be made available for viewing upon request. The catalogue itself is pretty self explanatory, the order form however is not! If you have any trouble you can send me details of your order in an email, leave me a note, or send a letter via carrier pigeon and I can do the math for you and send you an invoice. Our next order will be placed Nov. 18th 2013 in order to have the products at the farm before Christmas.

And on that note….

Anyone have any suggestions? If left to me it may just end up another Mexican Fiesta!

We are proud to announce our new lesson and lease program. We are opening our doors to “Horseless Riders” to enjoy our teaching and our school horses. There may be opportunities, based on competency and numbers, to integrate some of our Lesson Program students into classes with our training clients while others may be scheduled separately. This decision will be made by Synergy Farm staff on a case by case basis. Students will have the opportunity to participate in all Synergy activities including clinic/training sessions and Gold and Silver Horse Shows.

School horse leases will also be available throughout the winter and for the summer season.

And for the 2014 show season, Synergy Farm will be attending Provincial Silver circuit shows with our Lesson Program students. Generally, Amanda Weaver will be coaching students at these shows.

In addition to regular lessons we will offer a Wine & Equine program for men and women 25 years and older. Would you like to enjoy horses without being ridiculed by a bunch of kids? If yes, then this is the program for you! Participate in a morning or afternoon of horsemanship and riding followed by a glass of wine in a peaceful country setting. Private and group sessions available with flexible times to accommodate your busy schedule.

Ok, here’s the big one. After 5 years in business we are implementing our first ever rate adjustment to help defray the impact of significant increases in our operating expenses.

Effective Nov 1 2013 Synergy Farm rates will be as follows:

  • Full Training Board $ 1350 + HST
  • Lesson $ 60 + HST
  • Practice ride $ 25 + HST

Get a jump on the competition and show in sunny Ocala, Florida (sunny most of the time anyway). The Ocala price list will be available within the next couple of weeks. Lauren and I would like to schedule individual meetings with each of you to discuss your plans for the winter. Once we’ve established the level of interest, Lauren and I will put together a show package with shipping and show dates, accommodation information, stabling information and costs. We encourage everyone to consider this option for 2014. It is less expensive to show in Florida than it is at home , it’s a great experience to compete at this level, it’s a nice break away from the cold weather and Ocala is a mere 3 hour flight and 1.5 hour shuttle ride away!

Or property manager, Ian Grant is off to Florida for the winter. Have a safe trip Ian and thank you for the help and all the hard work this summer. If any of you city folk would like to get your hands dirty please let me know!
Amanda, Heather and Jason have everything in the barn under control. For the fall Amanda will be in the barn Tues-Sun 7am – 4pm. Heather will work Mon, Tues, Fri, and Sat 7am-4am. Jason will work Mon – Fri 8am -11am. Lauren and I will be around and available most days and continue to try to take Mondays off.

Well, that’s it for now. Life around the farm is great especially since we sold 3 of our 4 trucks last month. (I feel like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders with the sale of my white Ford F350. What a POS that truck was.).

I am very excited to spend time with new horses and new faces around the barn. Fall has always been a great time of year and a super opportunity for all of our students to re-focus themselves, set new goals and get to work on achieving them. As always if there is anything we can do to improve your experience, please do not hesitate to ask.

Mark & Lauren
